Cookies

Two cookies, one of which you can live without.

The one the shop needs

A basket cookie. It holds what you have chosen and keeps hold of it while you move through the checkout, which is the entire reason it exists. It is what the law calls strictly necessary: there is no consent banner for it because there is no version of a working shop without it, and blocking it empties the basket rather than protecting anything.

If one of us signs in to the administration side, WordPress sets its own session cookie for the length of that session. That is staff, not customers, and it never touches a visitor’s browser.

The one you can clear

A preference cookie remembers a small choice — a country, most often — so the site stops asking. It expires when the browser closes or shortly after, and clearing it costs you nothing but being asked again.

Beyond those two there is nothing. No advertising cookie, no cross-site tracker, no analytics profile assembled as you move around the web. If that ever changed it would require asking your consent first, properly, and this page would say so before a single new cookie was set. Any browser will list and delete what is stored, usually under privacy or site settings, and what happens to personal data is a separate subject covered under privacy.
